Environmental Education in Hubei Province
In late August 2010, a group led by Michael Zhan '12 consisting of ten Chinese students from such universities as Peking University and Fudan University traveled to Wushan County to teach fifth and sixth graders natural sciences and English. Pressing issues in current environmental studies in climate change, and introduction to global warming and its impact on ecosystems around the world were taught. Exercises in recycling were also taught to introduce sustainability.
